Viking Refrigerator Diagnostic Details
Service Diagnostics Mode enables you to identify the firmware and software program versions, test status of “model particular” system parts as well as sensors, and also alter state of parts where appropriate (i.e.– compressor on/off, and so on.).
Enabling Solution Setting: To make it possible for Solution Setting, press and hold the “WARMER” switch while pushing the “COLDER” switch 4 times within five secs.
After entering Solution Setting, the initial number that you will see indicates the software model number for the particular system you are servicing. For instance, if you are servicing a 24 inch wine rack (DFUW, DUWC, VUWC), the initial number you will see is 11. See chart below for corresponding design as well as software application recommendation.
The 2nd number you will see suggests the software variation release. For instance, if you see 44 on the display panel it suggests software application variation 4.4.
Diagnostics:
While in Service Setting, press the “SET” button to tip with Tests 0-9. The first figure of the display will certainly show the examination number. The second figure indicates the present state of each component under examination and is presented as “1” being ON, CLOSED, or SHORTED as well as “0” being OFF or OPEN. Tests 0 as well as 1 reveal an open or shorted problem spotted at the sensor inputs. Tests 2 via 6 allow you to turn loads ON with the “WARMER” button and also OFF with the “COLDER” button. Examinations 7 through 9 verify state adjustment of the door switches over and/or magnetic reed sensor. The element tests available are explained in Offered Element Tests chart.
